Inspired by the hustle
Aye, you ever have a conversation with a complete stranger that leaves you feeling so overwhelmingly excited and inspired to pursue your dreams? Yeah me neither. No but seriously, so I took a trip to hotlanta a couple of weeks ago; hence my being MIA for like two weeks. Anywho, ATL seems to be the place where everyone goes to either start over or get started. Though NO city will ever top Chi-city, I can honestly see why people flock to this southern bell. Aside from Atlanta being a beautiful city that oozes country charm, the city is bursting at the seams with the go-getters and hustlers. One of those said go-getters is a good friend of mine from high school, Gregg. He’s a segment producer for some of my guilty pleasures, like TI and Tiny and Jermaine Dupri’s reality show Rap Game, and being that I really want to pursue this blogging/writing thing, who better to consult with than another creative. I am forever grateful that he jumped at the chance to host and show me around his new city.
In addition to exploring the touristy spots, because I’m basic, I had the pleasure to meet some of his friends/colleagues. AWESOME doesn't even begin to describe these people. They have truly awakened my passions and inspired me to pursue them. I was surrounded by producers, writers, directors, actresses, etc and to hear them talk about their work, man! They almost made me want to move to ATL, almost. These are definitely the kind of people I need to surround and engross myself with.
Anywho so Gregg and his roommate, Jonathan, are apart of a content creators group called LxVE Collective that does some amazing things. They are known for hosting some bomb ass events geared toward networking amongst local tastemakers (bruh, I had to look this term up because whet?), musicians, and artists. In light of the recent killings of unarmed black men and as a part of their iLxVEArt series, they have decided to host an art exhibit highlighting love. If you’re in ATL this weekend, and by this weekend I mean Saturday August 27 from 8-11p, check it out. And remember LxVE Matters.
